Federation University Australia Berwick Campus in Australia is a campus. It is part Federation University Australia in Victoria. It offers degrees in Business and Commerce as well as Criminal Justice Criminal Justice and Nursing Education.
It is located in Casey which is Australia’s fastest growing area. There are approximately 2000 students on the Campus. The campus was inaugurated in 1996. It was smaller than other campuses, and covered 55 hectares. In 2006, the university built a student housing facility to meet increasing international and local student demand. Many faculties have left campus over the years. Majority of students are enrolled in the School of Nursing and Healthcare Professions.
On 29 April 2006, this campus was also called Monash University Berwick. It celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Monash declared that the Berwick campus would be closing by 2018. It was announced on 7 March 2016. Federation University Australia announced that the Berwick Campus would soon be transferred to them after receiving approvals from government. This officially started on January 1, 2018, as a campus of Federation University Australia.
Near the campus is the Princes Freeway exit ramp on Clyde Road. The campus is located approximately 45 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. Permit parking is available for students and staff. Coins can be used to store daily tickets for infrequent drivers.
Seven minutes drive from campus is the Berwick station. The Pakenham Line serves the campus. The Melbourne CBD is reached by train every 30 minutes.
It is the official student union of Berwick University. MUBS is frequently abbreviated. MUBS hosts many events throughout the year. These events include free weekly breakfasts and lunches, advocacy for student rights, coordination of campus social events, and advocacy for student rights.
