Union Medical Centre is an Accredited Training Practice, and is affiliated with EV GP Training as part of the implementation of the Australian General Practice Training Programme. They collaborate together with EV GP Training to train the next generation of GPs to serve their local community. The practice is run by doctors who supervise, coach and help the registrars (doctors who are in the process of training).

It is important to inform the receptionist in advance when you make your appointment if you require a longer appointment and if there is more than one patient who needs required to be seen. If you or a member of your family requires an interpreter, They can arrange the service for you. Make sure to inform them prior to making an appointment. The doctors in the Union Medical Centre are happy to accommodate patients who come at the clinic without an appointment, but there could be a wait time, unless it is deemed urgent. Alternative communication methods can be considered by patients who are disabled. There is the National Relay Service (NRS) for deaf patients or using the translator and interpreter service.
Home visits are provided upon request for patients who are regular and with a medical condition that prevents them from going to the clinic. Home visits are billed in bulk by their doctor when a valid Medicare card is presented. Doctors are not able to take phone calls while they are seeing patients. The receptionist will leave calls, then inform to the Doctor so that your phone call can be answered by the Doctor as soon as possible date.
